Not every place on earth experiences dramatic contrast in the change of seasons. But in most places people observe that something different is happening as the seasons change.
We are in the middle of a season…a short season in our culture but there’s definitely something different about summer. The temperature, long days, kids out of school…many things keep telling us that there is something different happening all around. KK and I are enjoying the extra time available for rest, family and friends.
I am beginning to think that I need the change in seasons about as much as I need to sleep at night. The change brings freshness to my soul.
The voice of God keeps calling me to stop, pray, read, rest…take advantage of this different kind of time to invest in people. What about you?
You are invited to stop by any night and (unless we’re out west visiting Josh’s family) you will find us sitting on the back porch. We’ll get another glass of tea and listen to your story. I’d love to learn from what God is doing in your life.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven (Eccl. 4:1)
