Just walked in from a “Dinner with the Pastor”— a time for us to sit down with people visiting our church and share a meal and the vision of our church. I am amazed and how many people came on a summer night to talk about what it means to be a member at Calvary.
It reminds me of how important it is to connect with the Body of Christ. Martin Luther said, “We are saved by faith alone, but the faith that saves is never alone.”
God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. Paul said:
“But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.” (I Cor. 12:18)
He has a plan for His people. We need each other and He places us in His Body and aligns us with others who help us walk with Him.
Tonight, I am thankful for the Church, the Body of Christ.
