Paul, the theologian missionary (with a pastor’s heart), ended his first letter to the Thessalonians with a simple and passionate request. He simply says, “brothers, pray for us.”
Every pastor knows how much he needs to walk in the path prepared by the prayers of God’s people. There is no greater gift that you can give to your pastor! Pray for him! I join Paul in the plea: Brothers, pray for us!
If you have a minute, click to this on-line version of the devotional book written by Surgeon and read his comments on this verse ( It is taken from his Morning and Evening: Daily Readings and it is the morning reading from July 7th). If you don’t have another minute to read it–do you have a minute to pray for your pastor?
