Too often we pray because we “want” something. We are asking God to give us something, change something, intervene in some way, etc. There is nothing wrong with making our requests known to God. (Phil. 4:6-7)
However, asking God for something is not the only kind of praying. It has been rightly said, “we should seek His face–not just His hand!”
Take some time today to seek His face. Tell The Father that you want to know what He is like. You want to know His Word and His ways. Read these verses and wait before Him as you prepare your heart on this 4th day of preparation.
