Day 18: Praying for (Missionary) Families

“Brothers, pray for us.”  (I Thess 5:25)

This week we have prayed for our families.  Your testimonies have encouraged me  (see one below).

Today, I want to encourage you to pray for the families of our missionaries–for lots of reasons!

First, we know how the evil one attacks the families of Christian leaders.  Next, missionary kids (MKs) face added pressures living in a different culture…especially in the first few years of life on the field.

One more thing: Missionary parents feel added pressures when their children face challenges.  Read this update from the Joberts, our missionaries in South America.  Their daughter, Eliana, was very sick a few weeks ago. Here’s their update:

We want to thank all you of you again for lifting up Eliana in prayer.  She is doing good.  She has a follow-up appointment in Brazil tomorrow (Wed. March 10th.)  This is a very important visit as he will decide the course of her medicine.  Please pray with us that he will significantly decrease the medicine, as has been the advice of the doctors with the IMB. Also lift up Cindy as she finds her way around in this city of 23 million people.
God bless,
Steven
