Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Eph 3:20-21)
Praying for Vision: Let’s pray this verse together.
“Now unto Him…” Father, You are our Source; We look to You–not us. We are not able, but You are able!
“Who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think…” Father, stretch us! Give us the courage to expect great things from You and attempt great things for You!
“according to the power at work within us…” Father, forgive us for depending on our own power. We look to You knowing that Your power is at work in us (and through us). Give us vision that is measured by the standard of Your power!
“to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus…” Father, we know You work through Your church. We want to live in a way that brings glory to our Lord Jesus! We know “church” is not about us…or making us happy! It’s about You! Make us Holy that we can bring glory to You!
“throughout all generations…” Father, give us vision we can pass on to our children and our children’s children.
“forever and ever.” Father, give us vision that will bring You glory as we focus on what will last. Help us see our church in the light of eternity.
