Day 21: Praying for Our Church

And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful. Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you…” (Col. 3:15-16)

Tuesday:  Pray for Our Church to be Filled with the Love and Life of Christ, the Messiah!   (Read Col. 3:1-17)

“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones…”  Father, press upon our hearts the responsibility we have as Your people — the sheep of Your pasture — chosen by You to show the world Who You really are!

“holy and loved…”  Father, we have been set apart (holy) by You — You are holy and You have made us acceptable and holy in Messiah Jesus.  Give us clean hands.  Fill us with Your love, overflowing in and through us because You have first loved us.

“put on…” Father, help us put away the sinful ways of the old man (vs. 8-9) and put on the things of the new man, in the life of Messiah. (vs. 12-14)

“Let the peace of Messiah… rule/control…”  Father, fill us with the peace, calm and rest of Your presence.

“Let the message of Messiah dwell richly…”   Father, as Your love and life fills us, let the message of Messiah fill our hearts and flow from our lips.

“and whatever…everything…”  Father, our thankful hearts return praise to You.  May everything about our lives and love demonstrate the overflow of a thankful heart.
