It’s been about 10 months since we started the transition from Calvary to the North American Mission Board (NAMB). During the time at Calvary I was confident that many of our members prayed for us daily. They often told me of their prayers and asked me how to pray for us and the church’s ministry.
As we left, I had every intention of setting up a website to share requests and updates…to find a way to build a prayer team. However, we were overwhelmed with moving, special family needs and the challenges of developing a new ministry. I know many folks prayed for us during these times and social media updates kept us in touch.
Now it’s time. It’s time to build prayer team. It’s time to humble myself and admit how much I need your prayer. There is so much that needs to be done and we need prayer (1 Cor. 16.9)
Jesus made it clear- we must depend on Him! “without Me you can do nothing” (Jn 15.5)
Paul made it clear- he needed the prayers of other beleivers! “brothers, pray for us!” (1 Thess 5.25) See also: Eph 6.19; Col 4.3; 2 Thess 3.1 to name a few)
I am going to use this month of July to build a prayer network.
I will be checking this site to see how many folks hit the site.
I will be looking for your comments and responding as I can.
I will list new requests and give updates on the progress of ministry.
You may enjoy joining me on the journey….but the point is I am asking, I really need you.
We need for God to do so much more than we can ask or think… Pray for us!
