Health Update and Prayer Request
Over the past several weeks I have experienced irregular heartbeats. Out of the blue I get hit with sudden onset of racing pulse and my blood pressure soars.
Following one of the “episodes” I was hospitalized for a day and underwent an extensive cardiac workup–my heart seems to be in good condition (no blockages, etc.) —and that’s good. However, we were not able to find identify a cause for the sudden onset of racing pulse, etc. So I underwent some additional tests…
The tests indicate a problem with my adrenal gland—probably the result of the medication I have been taking for the last 6-7 years. We suspect a tumor on the adrenal gland. (Pheochromocytoma) The doctor says this is typically benign— so don’t jump to any conclusions. 🙂
In a way this is good news because it gives us a trail toward a definite cause. The next step is an MRI to locate it– and if confirmed, surgery to remove it. Probably can be done by scope and not be too difficult. We will be scheduling the MRI… ASAP …and get on with it.
