August 4 (Month of Prayer)

God, use Your Word to teach, reprove, correct and train me.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable  for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness…

(2 Tim. 3:16)

Lord, Your Word is inspired and totally without error. As I open Your Word — I open my heart to You.

I trust Your Word completely as You teach me the way that I should walk. Your Word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path (Ps. 119:105).

When I get off track, You confront me through Your Word.

Holy Spirit – You apply the Word to my wayward heart and call me to repentance. Even when I am prideful and resistant, You lovingly confront me and offer the grace needed to get back on the path.

As I keep learning to walk with You, I constantly cry out for direction. With the Psalmist I pray:

Make Your ways known to me, Lord; teach me Your paths.

Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation;

I wait for You all day long.

(Ps. 25:4-5)
