God, to know You is to have eternal life.
“This is eternal life: that they may know You,
the only true God, and the One You have sent—Jesus Christ.
(John 17:3)
You alone are God. You have no rivals. You have no equals. You alone are the true and living God.
You have complete authority over life and death. You are the source of eternal life- and only You could give me eternal life. I could never earn it – or deserve it.
I am so thankful that my hope is not in my works. I could never figure out how to be good enough to keep Your favor.
But Your Word has told me that I could accept eternal Life as a gift. By faith, I put all of my trust in Jesus and You have said:
“The one who has the Son has the life.
The one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
(I Jn. 5:12)
Father, You sent Jesus to give His Life so that I could come to know You—and, to know You is to know Life eternal.
I celebrate the assurance of eternal life that I have in knowing Jesus.
