God, You can be known through the good news of Jesus.
“…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
(Rom 10:9)
Hearing of Your death revealed my need. You opened my heart to understand how sin had separated me from You. The gospel message convicted me of my sinfulness and Your holiness.
Lord Jesus, You took my sin to the cross and paid the price that holiness demands.
Hearing that You were raised from the dead — convinced me Your power over sin, death and the grave.
Holy Spirit, You opened my eyes to understand this gospel and called me to repent and believe. You revealed that the bad news of my condemnation could be replaced by the good news of Your forgiveness.
I transferred my trust from myself to You. I called on Your name and believed in my heart—and You saved me. You made me You your child.
This gospel—this Good News—is my hope and peace.
You are Messiah. You are Savior. You are Lord.
Oh that rugged cross
My salvation
Where Your love poured out over me
Now my soul cries out: Hallelujah!
