God, help us to proclaim the gospel simply and clearly.
And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom.
For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
(1 Cor. 2:1-5)
Father, as I face a new day, give me eyes to see others through the gospel. Give me a desire to have a “Gospel Conversation” with those who cross my path.
Forgive me for meeting people and not thinking about their salvation. I pray that a simple conversation will lead to spiritual things–and lead to chance to speak of Jesus.
Deliver me from the bondage of thinking I have to be smart enough to share the good news of Jesus. Your power does not depend on my wisdom or my words.
Holy Spirit, You are the One who speaks in power to the human heart. Use me as an instrument to share the truth about Christ.
