August 27 (Month of Prayer)

God, may our lives cause others to glorify You.

Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable,

so that when they speak against you as evildoers,

they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

(1 Peter 2:12)

Father, there is no good in me, that is in my flesh. But You are living resurrection life in me—choosing and doing for Your good pleasure.

That’s why I humble myself before You and ask that You give me the grace to live an honorable life. As a new creation, You have given me the desire to do what is right.

As I gather with other believers today, I pray that we will motivate each other to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:24-25).

When unbelievers look at our lives, may they see You living in us
