Thank You

God was gracious to us… and gave us peace.  (Num. 6:24-26)

Recovery is slower than I want (weakness in my arms/legs and random nerve pains and aching).  No one really knows how long it will last.  Recovery seems to be different for every person.  But I’m constantly reminded of what could have been (an extended hospital stay; respirator; paralysis, etc.) I definitely had a mild case of Guillain-Berre syndrome.

I’m thankful for great doctors, a great hospital, and immediate treatment.

But what I’m most thankful for is you – our prayer partner. So many of you quickly responded to our prayer requests. We eventually read every note on Facebook and this blog. We are so grateful for your intercession and words of encouragement.

These words keep echoing in my heart. As I thank God for you, I thank Him for being gracious…

The Lord bless you, and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace.

(Num. 6:24-26)

  1. We love you Al and KK. It is an honor to pray for you! The Novotny’s wish you speedy recovery. We give HIM praise.

  2. Continuing to pray! I remember several years ago when Roy & Ruth Church went to Ecuador as missionaries & Roy got GBS—unfortunately, he did have paralysis, so I was quite distressed when I learned you had it. So thankful there is no paralysis. We’re praying for KK as well.

  3. Richard and I are lifting you and KK before the Throne of Grace. Praying for a speedy recovery.
